At Compario, we believe your personal data belongs to you. We do not sell or monetize your data. The information we process serves exclusively to provide side-by-side price comparisons, including keeping prices for items you check often up to date so results load quickly when you open the app.
1. Who We Are
Compario is a price comparison app designed to help users find the lowest price across multiple providers. We publish Compario on the web and via the official Google Play Store (Android package ID: com.automation.jediapp). You can reach us at support@compario.com.
2. What Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Account identity: Compario assigns you an anonymous guest ID automatically when you open the app. No sign-up or password is required.
Information collected automatically:
- On-Device Location: We access device location queries locally to perform Places autocomplete lookups when you input pickup or destination points. This location data remains on the device and is not continuously tracked or uploaded to our servers.
- App & Device Metadata: We check device type and operating system version to ensure compatibility.
- Usage analytics: We record app opens, searches you trigger, provider connection outcomes, and permission choices to understand app usage and fix issues. This is aggregate product analytics, not used for ad targeting.
- Push notification token: If you allow notifications, we store a device push token to send you service updates and, if you opt in, promotional offers. You can disable this anytime in your device's notification settings.
- Background price sync: To give you a good experience, we periodically refresh prices for the items and categories you check most often, so that when you open the app you get a fast response instead of waiting for a fresh price lookup. You can turn this off anytime in Settings.
3. On-Device Connections & OAuth
Compario lets you compare grocery prices from apps like Blinkit, Zepto and BigBasket without connecting any account. To compare ride fares, you may connect ride accounts such as Uber, Ola, Rapido and Namma Yatri.
- Local Authentication: All OAuth login pages and authentication flows for third-party providers occur inside secure web containers locally on your mobile device.
- No Password Storage: Compario does not view, collect, transmit, or store your passwords. The resulting authorization tokens stay stored in secure local storage on your device.
- On-Device Price Checking: The app uses these local tokens to request price estimates directly. Only the final pricing results and ETAs are loaded in the interface.
4. What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect or store your personal order history, ride history or routes.
- We do not track your real-time physical location continuously.
- We do not share your account or search details with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties under any circumstances.
5. How We Use Your Information
We process data solely to:
- Deliver live pricing estimates in the Compario interface when you search.
- Keep prices for the items you check most often up to date, so the app responds quickly when you open it.
- Send you service updates and, if you opt in, promotional notifications.
- Prevent fraud, multi-accounting, and system abuse.
- Provide technical support and respond to queries.
7. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your profile data as long as your account remains active.
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time. Simply navigate to Settings → Delete Account within the app.
- Immediate Purge: Deleting your account initiates a
DELETE /user/accountrequest. This immediately and permanently deletes your credentials and profile history from our servers and clears all cached data on your mobile device.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to your profile data, request corrections, or request deletion. To submit a data inquiry, email us at support@compario.com. We will fulfill all valid verification requests within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
Compario does not target and is not designed for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we discover a minor has created an account, we will purge the account details immediately.
10. Security
We apply standard encryption and server isolation practices to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no database or transmission channel is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-Party Links
Our app compares prices from grocery and ride apps such as Blinkit, Zepto, BigBasket, Uber, Ola and others to facilitate price checks. We have no control over the privacy policies or security of these third-party platforms. Please refer to their respective policy pages for details.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any policy revisions by updating the last revised date at the bottom or posting an alert inside the app. Continuing to use Compario indicates agreement with the updated terms.
